Head of Governance & Executive Coordination (m/f/d)
Your mission
This group-wide leadership role oversees governance and executive coordination across all three St. George’s schools in Germany and offers a hybrid working arrangement, with regular travel between the schools required.
Main Responsibilities
The role covers governance, policy management, legal and regulatory coordination, data protection and AI governance. As the formal owner of the group’s non-educational policy framework and Data Protection Officer, the postholder oversees compliance, advises on data privacy and the responsible use of AI, and supports organisational assurance and risk management.
Working closely with the Executive Board, School Directors and Group Headquarters, the postholder facilitates strategic coordination, manages significant compliance matters and supports responses to emerging risks and incidents. The role requires sound judgement, discretion and the ability to navigate complex issues across multiple functions and schools.
Your profile
- Significant experience in a senior professional, governance, compliance, management or corporate coordination role
- Proven experience supporting senior leadership, coordinating complex projects and implementing organisational policies
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, data protection and relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Experience working in education or another highly regulated environment is desirable
- Relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent analytical, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear policies, reports, briefings and formal correspondence
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills, with the confidence to exercise independent judgement and navigate sensitive matters
- High level of digital competence and confidence in working with organisational systems and information
- Fluent written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage
- A discreet, proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to handle confidential information and complex situations with professionalism and sound judgement
